This plant, just like other members of the family, forms small nodules underneath the leaves on occasion called "cystoliths." Many people scrape these off thinking they are eggs from a pest. Please don't! They are actually mineralized nodules that help disperse light to the darker areas of the leaves shaded by its other leaves- which is why they are usually seen on the undersides of the leaf.

We ship all orders Mon-Wed excluding federal holidays. If temperatures near you are below 45℉ we highly recommend adding a heat pack to your order. If temperatures will be much lower than 20℉ please leave us a note with your order asking us to hold your order until a given date as heat packs will fail at temps much lower than 20℉.
