Found in wet flatwoods, marshes, bogs, dome swamps, savannas and coastal swales throughout much of Florida. It blooms from summer into fall, and attracts a variety of butterflies and moths. Its seeds are eaten by birds. Gorgeous around ponds, swales, and bog gardens. 5” pots, shipped in careful wrapping. The flowers are outstanding!

 

Soil: Moist to wet acidic soils
Exposure: Full sun to partial shade
Growth habit: 1–3’ tall

In love with this plant— the vertical leaves are so aesthetic & the flowers wow. Its already growing a second group of flowers & growing so tall. So far this one is my favorite specimen. Thank you!
