Wild Plumbago
Plumbaginaceae
Also known as Plumbago scandens
5" pots, shipped bare root but wrapped carefully if shipping is selected.
Larval host for Cassius blue butterfly! Attracts butterflies, moths, and bees. The purple flowered plumbago seen all over Florida yards is NOT native. This is the true native! I think it is nicer, too. It doesn't get that stringy, anemic look like the non native. It is a fast growing, tough plant that isn't phased by periods of drought or flooding rains. In habitat, it's seen growing in full sun but I have never seen cultivated ones do well in full sun.
