A hybrid Cyphostemma with very knobby, round roots and caudex. Big, succulent, fleshy leaves with clusters of red flowers and berries throughout the growing season. Deciduous foliage. Cyphostemma are members of the grape family but are not edible. The little white pearls on the undersides of the leaves are known as food bodies, and are deployed to attract beneficial insects, such as ants.
