Awesome Frankincense tree from the island of Socotra. In habitat, it grows in rock fissures and rocky escarpments with full sun and little water. In cultivation, this plant responds well to plenty of water and fertilizer during the growing season, but is reduced in the winter when the plant becomes somewhat dormant. Fabulous scent to the leaves when crushed.
Leaves are purplish grey-green and deeply lobed; bark is white. Makes a nice, natural bonsai. Relatively fast growing when treated well.
