This narrowly endemic species is known only from the environs of Guadalajara, the capital of Mexican state of Jalisco. Commonly referred to as Maguey Chato.
Growth similar to agave potatorum. Tight blue rosette with spines that range from orange in the center to auburn colored on the outside of the rosette. A magnificent agave for pot culture or smaller succulent gardens. Slow grower, does not offset regularly.
