This is a rare vining caudiciform native to a range from South Namibia to Cape Province in South Africa. It forms a large, underground tuber that can be raised as the plant ages. This species has needle leaves and very rarely offered and not well known!
Takes more water during growing season than people expect. Very slow growing and creates a magnificent bonsai. Train the vines around a trellis. Flowers are small, fleshy, and have a lightly pleasant scent. Caudex can be lifted for succulent bonsai look.
These are seed grown in 4" pots. Shipped bare root.
